From Sales Call to Business Case: Automated Value Extraction

Minoa connects to Gong, Zoom, Momentum, Attention, Chorus, and Fathom to turn your sales conversations into structured business case inputs automatically.

Your best discovery calls are gold mines. Pain points quantified. Metrics shared freely. Stakeholders named. Priorities ranked. The buyer is practically writing your business case for you.

And then it all vanishes into a call recording that nobody rewatches.

The information exists. It's timestamped and transcribed. But it lives in a call intelligence platform, disconnected from the business case that needs it most. Reps take notes, but notes are incomplete. They forget the exact number the VP of Ops mentioned. They miss the pain point the CFO slipped in at minute 43.

Today, we're launching call recording integrations that connect Minoa to Gong, Zoom, Momentum, Attention, Chorus, and Fathom — turning your sales conversations into structured business case inputs automatically.

The Problem: Discovery Data Dies in Call Notes

Let's trace what happens to discovery insights in a typical sales org.

A rep runs a 45-minute discovery call. The buyer shares that their team spends 12 hours per week on manual compliance reporting. They mention that failed audits cost them $200K last quarter. They name three stakeholders who need to sign off on any new tooling.

The rep hangs up, spends 10 minutes writing notes in the CRM, and captures maybe 40% of what was said. The specific numbers get rounded. The stakeholder names get forgotten. The pain points get summarized into vague phrases like "compliance is a problem."

Three days later, the rep opens Minoa to build a business case. They don't remember the exact figures. They re-listen to parts of the call — if they have time. More often, they estimate or skip the customization entirely and use default benchmarks.

The irony is painful: the buyer gave you everything you need to build a compelling, personalized business case. The data just never made it from the call to the case.

How the Integration Works

Minoa's call recording integrations automate the path from conversation to structured business case inputs. Here's the flow:

1. Calls Are Processed Automatically

When a sales call ends, your recording platform processes the transcript as usual. Minoa's integration picks up completed calls automatically via real-time triggers — no waiting for batch processing.

Calls are mapped to Minoa users via email matching, so only relevant calls are processed. If you're an AE, you see insights from your calls — not every call in the org.

2. AI Extracts Structured Inputs

Minoa's summarization pipeline reads the full transcript and extracts structured data relevant to business case creation:

  • Pain points mentioned — Specific problems the buyer described, with context and severity indicators
  • Metrics shared — Any numbers, percentages, time estimates, or cost figures the buyer provided
  • Stakeholders identified — Names, titles, and roles mentioned during the conversation
  • Use cases discussed — Which product capabilities or solutions the buyer expressed interest in
  • Priorities and urgency — What matters most to the buyer and any timeline pressures mentioned
  • Competitive context — Incumbent solutions, alternatives being evaluated, or switching triggers

This isn't a generic call summary. It's a structured extraction designed to feed directly into Minoa's business case builder.

3. Inputs Flow Into the Business Case Builder

When a rep creates a business case for that deal, the extracted inputs are already waiting. The Business Case Builder shows call-sourced data alongside CRM context, uploaded documents, and manual notes.

The AI uses these inputs to recommend relevant use cases and pre-populate calculation fields. A pain point about "12 hours per week on manual reporting" maps directly to time-savings calculations. A metric about "$200K in audit failures" feeds into risk-reduction models.

The rep reviews, adjusts where needed, and moves forward. What used to take an hour of re-listening and manual data entry now takes minutes.

Before and After

Before: The Manual Workflow

  1. Rep runs discovery call
  2. Rep takes partial notes in CRM
  3. Days pass
  4. Rep opens Minoa to build business case
  5. Rep tries to remember key details
  6. Rep re-listens to portions of the call
  7. Rep manually enters inputs, missing many details
  8. Business case uses generic benchmarks instead of buyer-specific data

After: Automated Value Extraction

  1. Rep runs discovery call
  2. Call recording platform processes transcript
  3. Minoa extracts structured inputs automatically
  4. Rep opens Minoa to build business case
  5. Call insights are pre-loaded alongside CRM data
  6. AI recommends use cases based on actual buyer pain points
  7. Rep reviews and adjusts inputs
  8. Business case reflects what the buyer actually said

The difference isn't just speed — it's accuracy. Business cases built from actual buyer language are more credible and more persuasive than cases built from memory and benchmarks.

Integration-Specific Details

Gong

Full transcript access with speaker identification. Minoa processes completed calls automatically and maps them to Minoa users via email matching.

Zoom

Works with Zoom's native recording and transcription. Calls processed through Zoom's API with the same structured extraction pipeline.

Momentum

Momentum's deal signals and call data integrate with Minoa's extraction pipeline. Completed calls processed through Momentum are picked up automatically, with the same structured extraction for pain points, metrics, and stakeholder identification.

Attention

Full transcript processing with structured extraction, following the same pipeline as our other integrations. If you're already an Attention customer, see our detailed integration guide for setup instructions.

Chorus

Fathom

Fathom's lightweight recording and transcription feeds directly into Minoa's extraction pipeline. Completed calls are picked up automatically with structured extraction for pain points, metrics, and stakeholder identification.

More Platforms

We're continuously expanding our call recording integrations. If your team uses a different call intelligence platform, reach out — we're actively building new connectors.

Part of a Connected Workflow

Call recording integrations work best alongside Minoa's other integration layers. When combined with the HubSpot integration, extracted call data flows into business cases that are visible directly on CRM deal records.

The goal is a workflow where value selling happens continuously and automatically — from the first discovery call through to the closed deal.

Getting Started

Call recording integrations are available now for all Minoa customers.

To connect your call recording platform:

  1. Navigate to Settings and then Integrations in Minoa
  2. Select your platform (Gong, Zoom, Momentum, Attention, Chorus, or Fathom)
  3. Authenticate and configure user mapping
  4. Calls will begin processing automatically within the next business day

No changes to your reps' workflow required. They keep running calls as usual. Minoa does the extraction in the background.
